About The Founder

Mrs. Khulile Mavundla-Lamula is the master mind behind Imara Jewellery, her passion for craft started when she was only a little girl watching her mother crafting Ilala baskets. She was born in Swaziland being her parent’s first daughter and grew up in the village of KwaHlabisa which is in the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. KaMavundla “descendent of the Mavundla clan” is a qualified teacher and holds post graduate qualifications in LED and Project Management to name a few.

Mrs. Khulile Mavundla-Lamula is the master mind behind Imara Jewellery, her passion for craft started when she was only a little girl watching her mother crafting Ilala baskets. She was born in Swaziland being her parent’s first daughter and grew up in the village of KwaHlabisa which is in the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She left her teaching career to pursue her dream of starting her own business, in 2005 Enza Management Services cc was born. Focusing on consulting services and project management. In addition, kaMavundla’s craft passion elevated and IMARA JEWELLERY was born. She developed a concept of taking traditional beads and decorating it to fit to today’s demand for modern African Jewellery. Through her creativity, expertise, hard work and dedication Imara Jewellery has been well received both locally and in the international market. Imara has been showcased around the world and is still going far thanks to kaMavundla’s vision.

Where did it all start?

Enza Management Services, is a legally registered Close Corporation that is 100% owned by a Black South African female. 

Enza (meaning” Do It”) is an empowerment consultancy established to serve and add value to the relevant industries and to pursue personal growth by its founder Khulile Mavundla- Lamula who has been a 51% Member and a Black empowerment partner at FutureWorks! for the past fourteen years. 

Enza mainly offers services that promote social cohesion, human capacity building and development as well as local economic development. It is important to note that Enza as an emerging enterprise draws a lot of experience from its managing director who has vast experience within the company’s area of focus.

Enza Management Services, as part of its core services offers Craft product development, craft product trade linkage facilitation and as well craft production training, facilitation and coordination. Khulile, the member of the company, has vast experience in craft enterprise development. 

Her involvement ranges from identifying community members that may or may not have the skills to craft, improving the quality of their products, and equipping enterprises to sell and market their products, locally and internationally. 

She has worked along the value chain of the industry enough to identify the gaps in the industry and initiate solutions to permanently fill in the gap identified.  It is through Enza’s craft product development expertise that IMARA JEWELLERY brand was born. This brand promotes locally made jewellery produced from different material e.g. beads, grass, fabric, wool, telephone wire etc. Importantly IMARA Jewellery promotes products produced through Enza’s Craft Product Development Training. IMARA Jewellery producers are scattered within the vast province of Kwa-Zulu Natal
